Our products are not widely available ‘off the shelf’ nor do they require a physician’s prescription, they include enough active ingredients, to improve skin health, to warrant being used following a consultation with a skin care expert. Cosmeceuticals are generally only available in clinics.
We say 12 weeks for remodeling the deep structure of collagen, however, you will see improvements in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles after as little as 6 weeks.
When you start to use the Kaia or Otoko range you may experience a short period of increased exfoliation, this is great and it’s not dry skin, it’s a build-up of dead cells breaking down.
Definitely, I advise my clients to get into good ‘skin-health’ before any surgery; we know that the skin will be ‘stretched’ in a facelift and large pores and imperfections will be more prominent. If the skin is in good condition the overall end result and healing process will be enhanced.
In order to prepare for a chemical peel you must introduce, in a lower concentration, the ingredients you will have administered professionally. A preparation period of 14 days prior to your procedure is recommended.
It has been proven that Vit A and Vit C applied topically will enhance the results of collagen induction therapy.
